We're thrilled to announce that the winner of this year's NE Book Award is Tom Palmer with the gripping wartime adventure, Resist.

Our young judges loved this fast-paced story, inspired by real life bravery,  and the way it shows that war can bring out the very best in people.

Congratulations to Tom on his well-deserved NEBA win,  and to his brilliant publisher, Barrington Stoke.

Voting was exceptionally close this year so we just had to give a special mention to Malcolm Duffy for his brilliant, big-hearted story which our student judges felt gave a real insight into what life is like with dyslexia.
